Well it’s that time of the week again, time for a few beer’s i think.

I wanted to make this quick post regarding an auto-responder service that many of you will be familiar with. they are called Aweber. and there service is just incredible, they are always adding new feature’s to there ever growing service, and I was chatting to a friend about what is double opt-in. and why he doesn’t like the fact that whoever enters in their name and email address in to the form, they have to confirm that they basically signed up through your form and have permission to send you information.

Now Aweber has a strong believe that having double opt-in will reduce the risk of SPAM. witch many are aware of and to know if whoever type in the email address is a real person.

Now following the chat I had with a friend, they were saying, how do you get people to take that extra step and getting them to confirm their email address. well we were talking about having a html page with written instructions on how to confirm your email address. and receive the information. Or even a video placed. but Aweber have introduced there new confirm audio.

Now for those people who struggle to set up instructions like audio, vidoe est. They have saved us the job of creating our own. so when you opt-in on any of my forms, you will get redirected to the page above (the image above) with a 20 second audio giving you the instructions to confirm your email address.

I love this feature a lot, and the conversion for each person to confirm their email address has raised since I had just written instructions. thanks to Aweber at it’s best.

I would say that I am positive that Aweber are only doing this. and the extreme service that they give you to make building your list allot smoother, is what make me a lifetime customer.

On Saturday, June 13th, 5:01am in UK time, Facebook announced that you can have your own personal facebook profile, to direct people to your Facebook profile, quicker, and branding, especially your business.

For me personally I only catch up with old friends on facebook a couples of times a month. But the big picture here is that to own your own private link you would of have to have paid thousands of dollars, to have your personal Facebook profile.

NOT ANYMORE!

Right now if you want to send someone to your profile, you have to figure out a URL that looks something like this:

www.facebook.com/people/Your-Name/585946540

(That’s an inactive URL, BTW, no need to click it.)

But wouldn’t you rather own www.facebook.com/yourname? (or your company name)

Buy having your own company name set up to promote your business.) Can you imagine how you felt if someone else were to own your company name on Facebook?

In the past, it was easy to own your own name on Facebook, all you had to do was to spend a large amount  of money with Facebook (think $40,000+ per month) or be a huge celebrity, and it was yours. but not anymore for the little guy.

If you did managed to get your name, then congratulations to you, because you are the only person in the world with your own name for facebook. Or your company name.

If you grabbed your company name, can you imagine how much traffic you will get for nothing just buy having your own personal facebook profile for free.

If someone else has already has your name, get creative – add a period, or a dash, shorten it, lengthen it, or slap a number in there somewhere.

So go ahead and claim your own profile name now, before it’s gone.

Hi everyone… I Just wanted take a moment and make this quick post because when it comes to driving lots of traffic FAST, to your websites, Article Marketing is a great way to do just that… It’s a sunny day here in Manchester UK, and I was looking through Ezine Article.com and saw some poor article’s that people have written and no call to action on there article for people to use on there websites for content.

They had poor headlines, the headline in an article is the most important thing to get people hooked on your article, and no call to action at the bottom of there article, witch is the traffic that generates the article from being used.

So I’ve put together a short list of Creating Powerful Article’s the Wright Way

•    Provide the keyword in the title. For good optimizing purposes

•    Keep your articles to 500 – 600 words, use the keywords naturally don’t repeat the keyword for the sake of it.

•    Get people to give you feed back to see if the article is good and easy to read

•    Start with the introduction of your article and then the problem and then the solution. For writing these articles.

•    Your Sig. Add 2 or more websites, and write a headline like you do in your forum Sig, instead of just writing the URL and hoping people will click that link, give them a   reason. Check out some of  the top Ezine experts (articles) to see what kind of call to action they have, and then module it. – don’t drive them straight to your website, get them to follow you from the article to maybe a video, squeeze page to get more information.

•    When submitting your articles automatically via – software, submit the articles manually to the top 3 article websites out there, because you want to make sure that you submit your article properly for the maximum traffic from your articles. (Ezine Article is the best article site around)

•    Great tip – when you have all these articles in Ezine Articles est.  Don’t post them on your blog or website. Till about 60 – 90 days later for the risk of duplicate content,, very important.

WHAT RSS Feeds

OK let me just give you a little overview on what an RSS Feed is. RSS or Really Simple Syndication (Some people referrer the term to Rich Site Summary) is a means for blogs to broadcast their content to various different services and individuals easily. So people can pick there favorite content that they read on a daily bases and have it all in one place to read for their pleasure.

So an RRS Feed collects content of your posts, and then syndicate the content to various services. Bloggers often submit their RSS feeds to popular blog directories, RSS directories and search engines. Users can then find the feeds in which they are interested in and “subscribe to them,” reading them with an RSS feed reader. They may also simply read your feed and then hop on over to your site. its that simple. (They keep you updated instead of you keeping updated on new content with them)

Another aspect of having a RSS Feed on your blog is they are a great way of promoting your blog. It’s a great way of RSS feeds to boost the results of your blog in the search engine rankings. They are also a wonderful way of getting noticed by at least one of the major search engines, to gain more traffic.

So now that you know what an RRS Feed is, start Creating RSS Feed for your blog.

Your blogging software such as Word-Press and blogger, will probably handle the process of creating an RSS feed for your blog automatically. For instance, those blogging at Blogger.com are automatically “given” an RSS feed (in Atom format) that they can burn and use. Other blogging services provide RSS feeds, as well.

If your blog service provider or software doesn’t automatically create an RSS feed for your blog, in most cases they will. but if they don’t you can build one yourself. Those experienced with HTML may want to hand-code their RSS feed. Those of us who prefer a quicker solution can choose from a variety of software tools (many of which are free in Google) to accomplish Creating RSS Feeds.

A great place to manage your RSS feed needs is at Feed burner, which can be found at www.feedburner.com. This free service provides you with a number of tools that can make sharing your RSS feed easier and more effective for your blog. It also offers free circulation traffic (just in case you want to know how many people are tracking your feed) and a lot of handy ways to help other subscribe to your feed.

So having a RSS Feed on your blog, is a great way to gain traffic, and get people interested in content & services. After you have a RSS Feed don’t forget to update! Make sure you remember to either ping using a mass-ping service or to manually alert RSS aggregators about your feed every time you update. Otherwise, you are losing some of the potential value of the feed. Submit to technorati because you have a more chance of gaining more traffic through your blog.  www.technorati.com/ping

And Make your RSS Feed a moneymaker! Some blogger who are particularly interested in making their blog pay may want to consider using their RSS feed as a vehicle for advertising. Google’s AdSense program has a program to allow some AdSense publishers place ads in their feeds and other means of feed advertising for more traffic.

So having a RSS Feed on your blog, can gain more traffic and attract people to your content.

You need to know who are your competitors in your market are, like related products, and services. Look at your target markets blogs and websites and see how much traffic they are getting and if they are getting allot of traffic, then see what they are writing about, what’s getting people attention, and then take the idea and module it. Have a look at the SEO optimization of their content too. So knowing who your market is, is very important. Here are a few examples…

Look at the top Internet Marketers websites, blogs, and see how they provide content, and the quality of the content that they provide for their subscribers.
Who is your competition? Or Knowing Your Market example:

• Who are the major players?
• What do they sell and how.
• Who is buying Google adwords?
• Who has the top rankings?
• Who links to your competition?

Forum Marketing:
warrior forum – Where all the top Internet Marketers hang out, some great content in here.

Blog Marketing: – Find blogs in your market
blogcatalog.com is a great place to look for blogs in the same market as you
Technorati.com – It’s a like a blog search engine

Article Marketing:
Ezine Articles – By far the best one for submitting your articles on the web.

Distribute articles, and gain traffic from doing do. Put your BIO with your website address to drive traffic

Video Marketing:
YouTube – the largest video site as well as Google video.

Find videos in your market that you can see what kind of video they are doing in their business, so that you can piggy back them with your business. and see how they structure there content, and products

Press Releases:
I don’t use press releases but prweb.com is the best and larges press release site on the web.

Competitive analyses:
Be careful and keep an eye out for how long the Google Adwords ads run for month after month to see which ones are still there and which ones are gone if you are promoting a product see if people in your market are promoting it via Google Adwords, and check that the ad is still there, if the ad is still there after a couple of month, that means that they are making a profit with what they are promoting.

Go to places like clickbank.com which is all information products, and CJ.com are for physical products like Xbox and so on.

EBay is another great research tool to see the market place, and check what people are buying on eBay. And selling

Traffic Research:
Go to an internet marketer’s blog and so how much traffic they get:

Alexa – Owned by Amazon and you get to see how much traffic they get to their website.

compete.com – is a place where you can get better accurate date for your competitors, but to gain access to the information there is a fee. But is worthwhile for their great service.

Link Detective:
If you go to Google and type in link:www.whatever.com you will see most of the websites that they link to or people linking to them. It’s a good review of who is linking who. Ninja style

Google Alerts:
Is brilliant just put in a keyword like your name and as soon as Google indexes that word into a webpage or blog or basically the web, Google will alert you with new information. Keep up to date with what people are talking about, or what software (what people are saying about it) new information on that topic, is being indexed by Google. (must have tool and it’s FREE)

Google Trends:
Is a great place to find a topic that is rising, that people are searching for on the web, and you can see when that keyword or niche is at its peak for make money now until it drops off to happen again throughout the year? This is a great indicator to know when a niche topic is making money now.
You can also check witch countries where the most searches are coming from. Google Trends

So there you have it a good few ideas to research and knowing your market and competitors and save hours of time just doing one of these steps.
