If one of your traffic sources is SEO then you will love this plugin. I’ve got to give credit to Michelle MacPhearson who shared this with me. I’ve also been using this for our clients to.

It’s important that when you are optimizing your blog posts, content etc… that you include your title tag, meta keywords, meta description and H1 tags are all targeting your main keyword phrase.

With the new WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin it makes it very simple to do.

Now don’t let this crazy code scare you because it’s all done for you within the WordPress SEO by Yoast Plugin settings.

Now a feature in the plugin allows you to see what your Google Listing will look like wants it’s been optimized. Below you will see what my Google Listing will look like in real-time.

Now for my favorite features of the SEO plugin is the Page Analysis that shows you how well you have optimized your post or page. Below you will see that I’ve optimized pretty well for this keyword phase.

All in all this is by far the best WordPress SEO plugin on the market right now. I did use the SEO Pressor Plugin which is a great plugin and does require you to buy it. But this plugin is completely free to use for your WordPress sites.

Just by simply giving away free content first and then monetizing that by selling them your great products or even recommending other people quality products that you will earn an affiliate commission from.

We have seen this so many times with all the big hype product launches. They give content away to generate interest and buzz for that product that they will be realising soon. This build the anticipation for the product being released which generates lots of money in a short period of time.

Apple, and all the other big brands do it with their new products. Movie trailers do this all the time to create anticipation for the big screen movies.

So what does this mean then? Well lots of people that consume the marketing during these product launches still come away with great value even if they don’t even by the product that is being promoted to them.

Because in exchange for their time they get some solid content for free (Most of the time )

Well I attended one of Lee McIntyre’s Webinars recently and providing extreme value is his speciality. I’ve taken 3 pages worth of notes from this webinar too.

I don’t attend a lot of webinar’s due to the fact they are all heavily pitched and don’t give that much value away anyway. But attending this webinar is defiantly worth watching.

It’s all about the “offline niche” I run an SEO business where I get offline clients too, but this is not about SEO it’s about how to get offline clients for mobile websites.

Some of these tools are free and some cost very little money. Also there are other tools we use such as Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and a whole bunch of other tools as well, but these are the most essential tools that we like to use frequently.

Aweber (Autoresponder/Email List)

Having and building an email list is one of the most if not the most important thing/asset in your online business. Being able to send an email about your new products and services can create instant sales overnight.

If you’re not building an email list then you not going to get far in Internet Marketing. Aweber is one of the best Autoresponder services online. They are very reliable and provide a quality service for a quality price.

The deliverability rates are just amazing. Their email filters are rock solid to make sure your emails get sent to the subscriber, and they have fantastic support also.

Snagit - Screen Capture Tool

Snagit allows you to capture anything on a website, for example you can capture a screenshot of a webpage, graphics etc. We use this tool a lot to capture graphics quickly, or capture some results for a client.

Here are a few more things that Snagit can do:

• Take a photo of your computer screen, including long webpages.
• Create quick demo videos to share with anyone.
• Enhance images with stamps, text, and effects.
• Organize your screen captures with easy auto-storing and tagging features.
• Share your images and videos to presentations, social media sites, and more.

So below I have listed the essential tools we use at Overcome Marketing and my other SEO business.

Some tools we use are free, and some are paid but you will find some great tools that will help you cut out time and grow your business too. In no particular order.

Gmail – (Email Management)

We use Gmail in our business for our main email client. We set up emails such as info@yourdomain.com and forward them all to our Gmail account for easy management. Gmail is fantastic for organizing your emails for example:

You can Filter your emails into sub-folders, so if you receive lots of daily promotional emails with your personal emails then you can put them into sub-folders and just check them every 2 days or so leaving you more productive.

Gmail also offers great SPAM protection. So if you receive lots of spam complaints Gmail will know next time to send that email into the spam folder. Leaving you to focus on the emails that you need to read.

Basecamp – (Project Management)

Basecamp is what I use to organize all projects and task’s that I do on a day-to-day basis. If you have outsources or in-house staff then you can control what needs to be done and when with this powerful project management system.

You can share ideas, and you can also add members that are only working on that particular project so other outsource workers or staff can’t see that project. I really love this tool and use it every day to get things done quickly and easily.

Dropbox – Backup Files and Share

Dropbox is a great for backing your files automatically without worrying about it. The way it works is you have a folder on your desktop called Dropbox and any file, or folder ect… that you put into it they will be automatically sync all the files in what’s called a icloud on the Dropbox server without you doing anything.

You can also share files with multiple computers and if you were to use another computer with the Dropbox file on there as well you can access all the updated files from that computer.

We use this tool a lot in our business and you get around 2GB of storage free

Contact Me – Contact Management System

Contact Me is fantastic if you want to track leads or build very complex forms for you website then this is the tool to use. We use Contact Me for our clients and it tracks all the leads and dates of submissions ect… keeping your inbox free and keeping it very organised.

You can manage all your business contacts and create to do lists for those contact too. We also have it on our mobile devices so we can keep track of the leads at a click of a button.

Skype – Free Internet Calls

Skype is great to connect with friends overseas for communication. You can use chat, or video calling. You will need a camera and a microphone to use video calling though.

I have a list of contacts for different areas for example. I have a folder for all internet marketing related and so on. Skype is free but you can purchase Skype credits that will allow you to do more things.

If you’re doing outsourcing interviews with people from different countries then the call rates are extremely low compared to the normal rates.

Market Samurai - Keyword Research

This has to be one of best tools I like to use when it comes to competition analysis and keyword research. For me there is no better software then Market Samurai out there today.

I have purchased and paid a monthly fee to use lots of other keyword research software and online tools but the noble samurai team who created this are always updating it and giving  you all the latest information to stay ahead of your competitors.

Here are just some of what this software can do:

• What markets are worth targeting;
• What markets are worth avoiding;
• Which keywords you should focus on for fast results;
• Which keywords should be avoided;
• Which markets have weak competition;
• Which markets show impossible levels of competition;

Optimize Press – Create Sales Pages and Squeeze Pages

I Love Optimize Press. Optimize Press allows you to create stunning squeeze pages and Salespages that convert. Optimize Press also allows you to build membership sites and drip content on day or monthly basis automatically.

I use Optimize Press now for most of my squeeze pages and salespages. Here are just some of the things that you can do with Optimize Press:

• There are 10 built-in squeeze page designs.
• Optimized autoresponder integration. (works with all major services)
• Step by step page builder.
• You can add bonuses and one-time offer pages.
• Build Private Membership Sites.
• And so much more.

There are 3 levels of quality that you can use. The standard articles are a little poor but great for article submissions or article sydication networks, I wouldn’t recommend using them for your own blog or website. The 3 levels are standard, premium, and elite.

The more you pay for the article the more experienced writers will bid for your article to be written. iWriter is also fast below is an article I had written and it took less than 6 hours to be completed.

Also if the article is not what you were looking for, or it very badly written then you don’t have to pay for the article just let another writer create the article until you are happy with it.

iWriter for me personally is the cheapest place I know to get good quality cost effective articles written. I’m using them for all my articles that I get created

Article marketing has it’s good and bad reasons, but you can bring in some targeted traffic from your rankings in Google and other search engines via doing Article Marketing.

Anyway The Noble Samurai team who created Market Samurai which by the way is a must have tool for your competition analysis, have come out with another new tool called you guessed it Article Samurai.

They sold out within hours to 500 people and I managed to sign-up and get my hands on it.

After using it now for 1 month I’m very happy with my results so far. I use lots of free and paid tools and we used a software called Senuke X as part of SEO strategy which can be very effective if used the right way, if you were to abuse that tool then your days of ranking in Google and other search engines are over I promise, but does deliver some good results if used correctly.

Here are some results from using Article Samurai

In Article Samurai you can choose to show all Backlinks for your keyword or just within the 30 days. The results you are looking at are within those 30 days.

Pension Market: Keyword Pension Release, over 600 new Backlinks to the page for our keyword.

Well you would yet again find out what people wanted, and then sell it to them again.

BUT… Then you end up going around in this circle that repeats itself again, and again till you end up with 5, 10, or 20 products that solve different solutions, and you end up requiring allot of your time driving traffic to all these products.

Now lots of marketers are doing this exact system, and that’s great, and are making lots of money doing it too.

BUT the problem with that model is that you end up spending all your time in product development, and not so much time on the marketing side, and not focusing on requiring news leads and turning those leads into customers, and then into repeat customers that enter your continuity programs and buy your high back end products that increase in price and value.

You can’t do that because you are always creating products after products like, new eBooks, new videos etc to sell to them…

You see people are using the basic business model every time which is:

• Find a group of people that have an urgent problem and are
  willing to spend money for it
• And then they create a product that solves that problem
• Then they package that product in a way that it converts into sales.
• Then drive traffic to the sales page and repeat the process over and over again

This is a great way to make money online, and I see so many people doing it, and that’s fantastic…

BUT what if there were a better way to create products that increases in value and creating systems that give you leverage and scale in your business

Now it’s hard if you’re a one man/women team, to keep creating these products, and not doing much marketing as well not having checklists, and processes in your business so you can step away from your business and give you extra time doing marketing.

So instead of creating product after product you want focus on going deeper in your business not wider, and creating a sales funnel instead.

So what do I mean…?

Well with a sales funnel, you have 1 entry point to your sales funnel – and that is your squeeze page and then you have another entry point to your low price high value product, which then goes to your continuity program, and through to your high value back end products that increase in value and price.

So instead of spending your entire time creating product after product and driving all your traffic to your 10 different products that you never had time to test, track, and do more marketing to those 10 or more different products. You now just drive all your traffic to 1 sales funnel.

So all the people that opt-in went to 1 special offer, and then went to your other special offers that increased in value and price

If the people didn’t buy your products through the sales funnel, then they get put on what’s called a auto responder follow-up sequence where they start to receive some really cool content, that drive them back in your sales funnel and to buy your low price high value product.

If they bought that product and didn’t enter your continuity program then guess what they get put on another auto responder sequence for your continuity program until they join that and when they joined that you then offer your high ticked back end products.

Now by refining that 1 sales funnel you can increase your conversions, your retention rates, visitor value, and spend more time at refining that 1 sales funnel and making it better, than spending all your time driving traffic and tracking, and testing and so on, on 10 different sales pages, that don’t connect and are all over the Internet where they can’t be reached.

This business model is still very effective, and if done correctly you can also automate most of the marketing that is done, even the traffic as well.

I created this blog post in late 2010 but have recently updated it, this is still 100% useful today to build the foundation of your business first.

As you can see from the image below you send traffic to your squeeze page, then they become a subscriber on your email list by providing great content, and offering your products and services to them. the key here is you don’t want to keep finding new buyers all the time, the real money is right in front of you, just sell them more products to your existing buyers.

Because wants they op-tin & you turn that subscriber into a buyer from your low price high value product, and then turning that customer into a repeat customer who joins your continuity programs, and buys your high price products that increase in value at the back-end of your funnel.

Because the first contact point your subscriber will hit is your squeeze page (Traffic Line) and then down the line at the bottom of the funnel you will sell them high price back-end products.

For example:

What you are seeing here is going to be my business model. I think that this is the most profitable business model out there, because if you can get traffic to your squeeze page, and then turning that lead (subscriber) into a customer by buying your high value low $10-20 product that they simply can’t refuse to buy, and then entering your funnel that become repeat buyers, that know, like, and trust your marketing products that increase in value.

I hope you are seeing how powerful this modal is, and by doing this, your business just keeps growing with massive momentum.

So by increasing the traffic to your funnel, and increasing the conversion the more sales you will make as a result.

Please take some action, and start implementing this now, stop buying course after course, because you will end up getting to many business models from 5 different marketers, and you will never take action and  stop with all the information overload out there. Take my word for it I’ve been there.

It’s very important that users can engage with you for you to make any profit whats so ever.

Because only an engaged user will:

• Click through to the order-page and make a purchase.
• Leave a comment, adding content and social proof to your website.
• Clicks on your affliate link becuase you have reviewed a product and use it successfully in your business.
• Subscribers to your RSS feed or your email list and becomes a returning visitor.

So it does’nt matter if you only get a few visitors a day, if you increase the user engagemnt on your website you will slowly build up your loyal following, and become a maket leader in  your niche.

I know this sounds kind of wired but if you just think about it, if you don’t share and contribue good quality information that have extreme value for your users, then you will find it hard to create any kind of business without doing this.

Let me explain!

Wordpress is the only platform I use now for creating websites because now we have plugins that we can use to optimize our blog posts without really optimizing the content for the search engines.

Below is a screenshot of an optimize blog post that I created for one of our clients:

Let me intoduce to you the SEO plugins I use.

I use the All in one SEO pack plugin this allows you to insert custom titles and descriptions without doing any code at all, so it allows you to optimize the title and descriptions and the keywords that you want your content to rank for.

And the second plugin I use is SEO Pressor Plugin which tells you what you need to optimize for. This plugin is amazing it tells you if your blog post is optimize properly.

You can see it in action in the screenshot at the top right corner.

This Plugin However cost $47 but is well worth the price. You can grab the SEO Pressor here.

There are many more SEO plugins I use but these are the 2 plugins that you really need to use in your wordpress blog.

Now lets look at the optimization of the article.

First of all the keyword I was targeting is “pension release” and it’s critical to have your keyword in the title. and in the permalink to.

I’ve also got the keyword at the start of the article and in the middle and bottom of the article.

I’ve also added the H tags to and added an image with the keyword in the image title.

And lastley I’ve added a link to other pages within the site for more backlinks, and added some tags to. Some SEO experts will disagree and say this is way over optimized and will be “Google Slaped” as they say, we have 100 other pension release articles all optimized like this, and have resulted in us getting on page 1 for pension release and holding this position for 18 month.

Now if your in the pension market, you will know that the keyword pension release is very hard to rank for.

So you can make up your own mind on that one
